The Vision: Why We Built The Grid
Modern web gaming has largely lost its accessibility. Today, launching a simple browser game frequently requires downloading 100MB+ Unity WebGL bundles, enduring lengthy loading spinners, and navigating intrusive paywalls. We created GLITCH GRID to prove that deeply satisfying arcade gameplay can be achieved with modern web standards, lightweight code, and zero runtime dependencies.
Every simulation in our twenty-five game catalog is engineered from the ground up using native HTML5 Canvas rendering pipelines and real-time Web Audio API frequency synthesizers. The result is instant, friction-free gaming that loads in milliseconds on any modern browser—whether you are playing on a high-end desktop gaming monitor or a mobile smartphone on a train.
Our Engineering Philosophy
We hold our technical architecture to four fundamental development principles:
1. ZERO ENGINE BLOAT
No Phaser, no heavy engine wrappers, no multi-megabyte asset payloads. Each game's execution footprint is contained in lightweight, efficient JavaScript under 50KB.
2. PROCEDURAL SYNTHESIS
Instead of downloading static MP3/WAV files, all audio is generated algorithmically via the Web Audio API using square, sawtooth, and noise oscillators.
3. 60 FPS V-SYNC LOCKED
Game loops utilize precision delta-time calculations and requestAnimationFrame to deliver buttery-smooth 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates with zero frame stutter.
4. LOCAL-FIRST PRIVACY
We respect your privacy. High scores, level progression, and rating preferences are stored strictly in your browser's localStorage cache. No tracking cookies, no accounts.

We believe great arcade games are even better when bound together by an evocative universe. Beyond standalone high-score mechanics, GLITCH GRID features an ongoing cyberpunk narrative told through our serialized Grid Logs.
