Log Entry #133: The Architect's Trap

DATE: 99PP.08.30 | SOURCE: G.C.V. Odyssey - Combat Log

The breach was an ambush. The moment our shroud frequency matched the firewall gateway, the surrounding red static flared. Red alert sirens blared through the Odyssey's command deck. The Architect Plague's collective hive mind had anticipated our breach, flooding the entry vectors with hundreds of descending virus drones and high-velocity data packets designed to override our buffers.

Our combat pilots had to engage defensive subroutines immediately. We deployed the ship's defensive firewalls using the experimental Cyber-Defense Invaders laser cannons to blast the descending virus formations. Simultaneously, we activated the cache buffer using the Data Packet Catcher protocol to intercept clean data fragments while shielding our mainframe from red virus codes.

The defensive maneuvers were intense, and we managed to clear the entry quadrant, but the ship has taken significant damage. Our shields are at 18%, and the main drive is leaking code cycles. We are drifting deeper into the pitch-black core of the Nexus. We must find the central database before our systems shut down completely.
